Bio

Biomedical engineer (AGH University of Science and Technology, with specialty in Computer Science and Electronics in Medicine, 2011), Ph.D. in technical sciences (Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, 2017), currently – assistant professor at the Department of Electronics, AGH. I do both basic and applied research in voice analysis and speech technology, VR, HCI, affective computing and social informatics. My doctoral thesis focused on automatic detection of emotions and other paralinguistic aspects of voice and speech. Lately I work on investigation of user experience in VR and interaction with robots and virtual humans. I lead two projects: glossoVR – virtual trainer of public speaking and voice emission (Lider, NCBiR grant) and Public speaking in interactive virtual environments – audience attitude vs speaker behaviour: a biometric approach (Miniatura, NCN grant). I am passionate about using interactive virtual environments in education and for social impact.
