Silver in the IEEE Signal Processing Cup 2021 student competition

We are proud to announce that TEAM AGH consisting of our 4 highly talented undergraduate students: Michał Antos, Aleksander Strzeboński, Piotr Radecki, Mateusz Wojtulewicz, organized and led by a tutor mgr inż. Szymon Woźniak, won the second prize (1st runner up) in the IEEE Signal Processing Cup 2021 (SP Cup 2021) student competition. This year’s competition has been dedicated to the challenge on “Configuring an Intelligent Reflecting Surface for Wireless Communications”. The solution developed by TEAM AGH was ranked first in the challenge ranking list, and was nominated as one of three final teams to present their solutions in the Great Final of the SP Cup held at a virtual conference IEEE ICASSP 2021 in Toronto, Canada. After the presentation and Q&A session, TEAM AGH was finally ranked second. Congratulations to the entire TEAM AGH!

We are highly proud of mgr inż. Szymon Woźniak, a Ph.D. student and a research assistant in the Signal Processing group, who for the second time has organized and successfully led the student team to the Great Final of the IEEE Signal Processing Cup. Great job Szymon!
